Incentive Training on Voluntariness for Organ Transplant Coordinators
Within the framework of Ankara Development Agency Technical Support Program, Incentive Training on Voluntariness for Organ Transplant Coordinators was held on Apr. 26 – 27. The training program, supported by Turkish Transplant Foundation took place in TR Ministry of Health meeting rooms in Bilkent, Ankara.
Organ Transplant Coordinators of some private and public hospitals in Ankara attended the training program. Organized by the TR Ministry of Health and Turkish Transplant Coordinators Association (ONKOD), 35 healthcare professionals participated in training.
The Coordinators of the training were Board Member of Turkish Tranplant Foundation Ms. Gamze Yıldırım and Fatma Can, MD.
On the first day of the training, following subjects were discussed; organ donation and transplantation in Turkey, information management in organ transplantation, performance indicators and criterias in organ donation, the experiences of Regional Coordination Centers, communication techniques in healthcare.
On the second day of the training, stress management in organ donation communication, social support and grief counseling, effective use of digital communication and communication skills with psychodrama were mentioned.
After the intensive two day training program, certificates of participation were given to all participants and speakers.
