2nd Media Workshop on Organ Donation and Transplantation

2nd Media Workshop on organ donation and transplantation was held from 24-26 August on the scope of the International Transplantation Network Project.  It was supported by Turkish Organ Transplantation Foundation (TONV) coordination carried out by the five universities and five non-governmental organizations, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy, SESRIC and the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).  2nd phase to the first day of the workshop project was implemented within the framework of the Foreign Economic Relations Board Deputy Secretary General Aslı Akdeniz Özelli, Business Council of DEIK Health Coordinator Başak Canbulat and the board of TONV directors.

Second Media Workshop this week in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Somalia, Tajikistan,  Uganda, and TRNC journalists were hosted . The first day of the previous session in the afternoon, a total of 26 journalists from 13 countries were informed about Turkey’s economic and political situation.

Our guests then visited the Memorial Şişli Hospital and Acibadem Atakent the afternoon. Special organ transplants were generally informed about the health service. 2nd day of workshop on science and media community of the leading names transplant journalism laid on the table. The discussed topics are Organ Transplantation and Organ Donation Media Influence and Power in Health Communication, Organ Trafficking, Public Adverse and New Media. On the same day the donor families and organ recipients mentions about their experiences. On the second day presenting certificates and ended family  photo. 2nd International Organ Transplant and Organ Donation Media Workshop, ended after the visit to Izmir Kent Hospital. 26 journalists from 13 countries our guest the night of August 26, flew from Istanbul to the country.
